After following Ali’s blog for a while, I thought I would write my own Thankful Thursday post!
I’m thankful for being able to run, walk, and just having overall good health! As I ran yesterday, I decided to use one of my 8-min stretches to see how many things I could thank God for while I ran. I was slow starting my list, but once I got going, the thanks just kept flowing. The first thing on my list? That I was able to run. I volunteer at a cancer center – some of the patients there have trouble standing, much less walking. So even though it’s tough, and I’m slow, I am oh so grateful that I have a body that can run.
I’m thankful for being in school! Remind me of this when I have four tests and a project due in one week. So many people aren’t afforded the opportunity of being able to go to school, and I’m able to be here, learning, so that one day I can spend every day making kids feel better. (More about that in a later post). I’m at a highly-ranked university getting a quality education, and for that I am thankful.
I’m thankful for cooler weather! Winter hits the south sporadically, but it’s here right now! That means sweaters, scarves, tights, and boots. I may be a summer baby at heart, but I do love winter clothes. And Christmas. Especially making Christmas gifts!
I’m thankful for going home for the holidays. I love school and Baton Rouge, but there’s nothing quite like being home for the holidays. T-minus 12 days until I head home for Thanksgiving! Food, family, and shopping. Doesn’t get much better!
What are you thankful for today?
Love those boots. Love the leg warmers underneath (obviously — sporting that look myself today, in fact). Love that you’re celebrating Thankful Things Thursday. All great things. Have an awesome day!
